Making a Small Claim Online (under £99,999.99)
The government has improved the process of issuing a small claim* (or county court judgment) online. It is a simple process made through Money Claim Online. It is only accessible to residents in England and Wales.
*If your claim is for a fixed amount (exact amount of money including interest), then proceed.
If you have suffered an injury and want to claim compensation from the defendant then this service is not for you.
- Claim is for a fixed amount of money (no more than £99,999.99)
- Claim is against no more than 2 defendants
- You have an address in England or Wales, but not Scotland or Ireland
- All defendants have an address in England or Wales
- You have an e-mail address
If your claim does not meet all of the above requirements your cannot use this service.
{When your small claim has been requested and you have paid the court fee you will be allocated a claim number that will uniquely identify the claim.}
